Skilled Migration
Australia is looking for Skilled Workers interested in residence in Australia. The Australian Government is introducing a range of measures to connect interested skilled workers with potential employers in Australia.
Australia is aiming to increase the size of its skilled migration program for the eight successive year. There are currently many opportunities in Australia for skilled workers in a wide range of professions.
A list of the occupations through which you can apply for skilled migration is included on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL)
Occupations for which there is currently a shortage in Australia are listed on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL)
In most circumstances, to be eligible for skilled migration to Australia, you must:

Be under 45 when you apply

Have vocational English
-
Have post-secondary qualifications relevant to an occupation on the SOL

Have recent work experiece in your occupation
People who have degrees and trade qualifications AND an additional 3 years relevant work experience stand the best chance of lodging a successful application.
There are concessions for applicants who want to go to regional Australia. For information on settlement assistance offered by States and Territory governments see their websites.
Before applying for a visa, applicants must have their English language ability and skills assessed.
This usually requires passing the International English Language Testing (IELTS) with a minumum score 5. In Poland these tests can be undertaken at the British Councils in Warsaw and Krakow.
Details of assessing authorities for particular occupations are listed in Form 1121i. The assessing authority for most trade occupations is Trades Recognition Australia, for many other professions VETASSESS.
The Australian government has a Skill Matching Database, allows potential employers / sponsors to see the CV of an applicant CVs and offer them a job even before they arrive in Australia..
All skilled migration visas applications should be sent to Australia where they are decided. The Embassy does not assess Skilled Migration cases.

Long Stay Business Visa (457)
Those whose professions are in demand and who have an Australian sponsor, but who would have difficulty meeting the Skilled Migration criteria, such as age, may want to consider applying for an Information about long-term business visas. Applications should be sent to the State or Territory Business Centre in which your sponsor is located if you are sponsored by Australian company. It can also be lodged on-line.
